Custodians of Joy – Janitors bring joy to the kids of BC’s Children’s Hospital this festive season with much needed gifts
December 23, 2019
The local branch of Alpine Building Maintenance Inc. has gathered bags full of toys to place under the tree of the BC Children’s Hospital this Christmas. The “Custodians of Joy 2019” initiative, is an annual toy drive to collect much needed gifts for the kids and parents spending their Christmas at the BC Children’s Hospital.
Vancouver BC, December 23, 2019
What originally started out as a small charity project by Alpine Head Office staff in 2018, has now grown into a provincial initiative for all its BC staff. Mr. Johal, CEO of Alpine said, “I’m am so proud of my team, there is no better cause than to bring joy to these children who have endured so much already. The kids, their parents and the organization need all the support they can get towards their journey of healing.” He further added that, “As the custodians of many retail and commercial properties throughout BC, we understand what it means for our hardworking staff to perform most of their work in the background to go unnoticed. We therefor sympathize and extend our support to the men and woman working at BCCH who perform little miracles in background everyday”. As a show of their appreciation, Alpine further handed over a cheque for two thousand dollars to the BC Children’s Hospital to support them in continuing doing the wonderful work they do.
The hospital always needs gifts, so if you wish to join this great cause show your support by joining the #CustodiansOfJoy movement and donate some gifts for the kids of BCCH. A list of BCCH acceptable toys can be found at the bottom of this article. Gifts can also be delivered to Alpine’s offices in Delta for convenience, which they will then deliver.
Alpine offices are located at Unit 211, 8291 92nd Street, Delta, BC V4G 0A or you can contact them on 604 821 1541 for more information or to arrange for pickup.
